12 Foods You Should Always Buy Organic

I am a huge advocate of buying as much food organic as possible, however I know due to convenience, cost, availability and a bunch of other life factors, this may not always be possible. The reason to buy organic food over “conventional” is that there are far less pesticides and toxic junk on organic items, and due to the farming process, have a higher nutrient count. It is much safer for your body and environment to go organic. Below is a list of foods to keep in mind: If you can’t buy EVERYTHING organic, ALWAYS get the below organic (if available).

Produce on this list, also known as “The Dirty Dozen” are here because of the amount of pesticide residue tested on each item this year. Generally the same offenders make the list each year, but it can change slightly. The list starts with the food (strawberries) that has the most pesticide residue tested.
